The presence of dead organic matter such as fish waste (mulm), dead leaves, dead blanket weed etc can cause nutrient imbalances and ph problems as it rots down, especially in ponds where there are no bottom drains.  Even on ponds with efficient waste removal designs, we are all aware of the constant build up of "sludge" in undergravel and sand filters and also on filter matting and brushes etc filters.

Deesludge is a microbial, organic product which will feed on the waste and effectively remove it by controlled bio-degradation and by converting it to harmless carbon dioxide gas.

This product was actually formulated to increase growth rates and improve fish health generally by introducing the right balance of micro-organisms to the water. The fact that it also carries out the above waste digestion is not what it was originally designed to do but this bonus has become an extremely effective tool against our constant battle of maintaining a clean healthy environment for our fish.

The product is freeze dried, with an indefinate shelf life and can be used in conjuction with our other products DEEWEED, and FILTERBOOST.   DEESLUDGE is excellent for breaking down dead blanketweed and cannot be overdosed. All three products are extremely beneficial for our fish as the stronger micro-organisms in each product effectively reduce the deadly aeromonas bacteria resulting in significantly fewer health problems.
