It is a fact that conventional liquid boosters deteriorate quite rapidly dependant on temperature etc. Our product is supplied in powder form. The combination of the correct micro-organisms to convert ammonia into nitrite and nitrite into nitrate are held in a dormant state along with a soluble food source. It has an indefinate shelf life. When mixed with pond water the micro organisms reproduce and the result is that your filters are given a massive boost which is excellent in the spring or when adding new fish.
It is also a good idea to use as a maintenance dose as the beneficial bacteria also fight against deadly aeromonas and other unhealthy bacteria which will be present in your pond.
You cannot overdose with Yorkoi Filterboost but use at the rate of 5g (1 level teaspoon) per 1000 gallons then repeat on days 3, 5, 7 and 9. As a maintenance dose use half the above rate every 3-4 weeks during the feeding season.
